Military Times Best for Vets: Employers
The Military Times “Best for Vets: Employers” survey instrument and scoring rubric have been honed and developed in consultation with veterans and subject matter experts to identify the paramount support that companies should provide to active-duty and veteran service members.
The methodology in 2024 remains consistent with significant improvements implemented in the past couple years.
As a reminder, this survey focuses on how organizations recruit, mentor and retain U.S. service members. If your organization is headquartered outside of the United States, please focus your answers on how you work with American active-duty and veteran employees.
Key Performance Indicators
The rankings are calculated based on weighted scores within discrete domains of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), listed here in order of importance. The “Recruitment and employment practices” and “Retention and support programs” domains factor most heavily into the final score on which rankings are based. They are followed in importance by “Employment support for Guard and Reserve employees” and “General inclusive workplace policies.”
